Title:Perspectives to Potential – Getting to know others is a great value!
Seminar Description:
Perspective to Potential … “Engaging Every Man” in the local church right where he is on his spiritual journey.
Every man has been created unique by God, to fulfill the calling God puts into his heart. We are all called to a purpose, a dream, a goal and Life-Changing Vision. The vision to become “… A Fisher of Men” (Matthew 4:19)
“Being a Disciple Maker means deliberately identifying yourself with God’s interests in other people…”
We must understand how important the using of our Gifts, Talents and Passions are “so that others might see Christ in us” as we become “Fishers of Men”…
The CFC Discipleship Model is not “New”, in fact it is the same format that Jesus used to call his disciples – every man must decide to engage and help his brother. The CFC Discipleship Model is unique as compared to most small group programs because it is;
- NOT a program with a “Start and End Timetable”
- NOT a “List of Items to Check Off”
- NOT a “Formula to Follow”
- NOT a “Book to Read”
- NOT a “Workbook to Fill In”
It is all about
Life-on-Life, On-Going, One-on-One Discipleship Building…
Short Biography:
A fly fishing enthusiast for more than 30 years, he has fished all over the world as well as worked for Orvis, Cabela’s and L.L. Bean Out Door Discovery School as a Fly Casting instructor. David has been guiding on the rivers of southern New England for the past 10 years and has been classified as a Teaching Guide.
“It is my goal that after spending a day with me you will be able to go fishing on your own and implement the skills you have learned…”
As a man of God, David has dedicated the last seven years of his life to supporting the local church by working with Men’s Ministry Leaders to better reach their men.
“A man does not care how much you know, till he knows how
much you care…”
David’s approach to men’s ministry is built upon the understanding that discipleship is key. Every man needs a Paul to pour into his life and that man then needs to find a Timothy that he can then pour into. This can only take place when men invest into the lives of their brothers, through fellowship that develops into a relationship.
“Being a disciple means deliberately identifying yourself with God’s interests in other people…”
David looks forward to working with you and your staff to share his encouraging message with the men of your church.
