Jacob Carroll – President, Tend the Fire Ministries
Spiritual Leadership in the Home – Discipling, Protecting, Providing
Seminar Description:
In Scripture, men are commanded to be the spiritual leader of their home. The Christian community of men today and their families are in desperate need of such men. Beyond our families, the church and society are feeling the repercussions of complacent men. What’s missing? Why aren’t men stepping up? For one, society and culture continue to push men into the background. Many men are not in the Word consistently, so they lack the knowledge required not only to lead, but to know that they are commanded to lead. In addition, few men have other men to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them in defense of their faith and their families spiritual security. Men often don’t build strong relationships with other men, or have men in their lives they can trust and confide in. Yet we are commanded to seek wise counsel.
This seminar is designed to facilitate the development of strong men who are committed to accepting and pursuing their role as the spiritual leader of their family. We will discuss what’s commanded of us, what’s at stake, and how to build a simple, but effective small-group structure that resonates with Kingdom-minded men.
